Below is Important Information that May Answer Any Question you Have
ABOUT CAPTAIN DOUG CHASON
Captain Doug is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain,
Certified in First Aid/CPR and a member of a Drug Testing
Consortium. He is authorized to operate boats up to 100 tons
(90 Ft.) with 6 or less passengers up to 100 miles offshore. He is
currently studying to receive his 100 Ton Master License, Towing
endorsement, VHF Endorsement and Radar Endorsement. Captain
Doug also possesses a FWC Charter Permit and Saltwater Products
License.

FISHING LICENSES
Captain Doug is a F.W.C. Licensed Charter Captain. You do not have to purchase a fishing license our F.W.C. Charter License covers up to 4 People.
WEATHER
You will be provided with a weather update and also a fishing forecast prior to your trip. If you decide to proceed with a trip despite a negative weather and fishing report you are responsible for the entire trip cost despite early return to dock. Basically once the boat leaved the dock, we get paid no matter what. You will have an opportunity to cancel your trip or reschedule based on the report we provide for you.
DEPOSITS
A Deposit may be paid by Credit/Debit card over the phone when booking your trip. Remainder of payment is due day of charter prior to departure. You may not be required to give a deposit for your trip.
REFUNDS
We do not refund deposits but we will credit your deposit towards a rescheduled or future trip. Trips may be rescheduled due to inclement weather conditions
ICE CHEST AND BAGGAGE
There may be limited space depending on the vessel we use for your charter,
please call us if you plan to bring a large ice chest or more than 3 bags.
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
The waves can make for a bumpy ride and things will get bumpy! If you have
any physical disabilities, please let us know so that we can work to
accommodate you.
MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
In the event of a Medical Emergencies, the Captain will:
#1 Provide Immediate CPR or First AID as trained if needed.
#2 Contact Local Emergency Officials or Coast Guard and arrange Ambulance service to nearest landing.
#3 Contact Coast Guard to file Incident Report.
Dehydration: The #1 medical issue that we see on fishing trips is dehydration, please prepare to stay hydrated.
ALCOHOL
Alcohol may be consumed in moderation. We will not tolerate excessive and obnoxious intoxication. No Glass Bottles allowed. Your alcohol must be stored in your own cooler.
DRUGS
We prohibit the use and/or possession of ANY illegal drugs on our vessel.
SAFETY IS ALWAYS FIRST
The Captain is in charge of the Vessel at all times and responsible for those who are on board. We are extremely sensitive to changes in weather and will often make navigation decisions based on weather and water conditions.
CHILDREN
Charters with Captain Doug Chason are not generally designed to accommodate persons under 5 Years of age. Please call to discuss before booking.
BATHROOMS
Our Inshore boats are not equipped with a restroom. It is possible that we will be
far away from a restroom. In the event that you need to use
the restroom we will do our best to accommodate you. We recommend that you
use the restroom before departure.
